Used for grasping tissue, particularly during intestinal and rectal operations These Pennington forceps have, in place of loops, triangles. Pennington forceps follow the original design of surgical forceps. Unlike the original forceps design, though, these are made of durable surgical stainless steel. The triangular loop allows for a larger area to grip - though whether one chooses to use these or regular forceps is more a matter of personal preference than anything else.
